Mountain House (H)

    The book, "Mountain House" is a collection of selected architectural and interior works in contemporary modern style for mountainous condition, both surrounded by and situated in scenic landscapes at various topographic inclinations. Houses in this setting are "retreats" , featuring qualities of relaxation, remoteness and a certain ambience that pulls us back to reach for the essence of human nature. Apart from spatial arrangement, the architecture is designed to meet forces of nature. It connect, welcomes, interacts and intertwines with rain as well as a viewing and resting platform, and the large opening system of wall and the ambiguity between interior and exterior allows flexbility and continuity of space. Mountain House is, hence, architecture that inevitable relies on context.
